Open up the Delta Patcher executable and select your source ROM and your.xdelta patch file. Here we have a patch for Smash Remix 0.9.1 being applied. As a security measure, be sure to check the “Backup Original File” option under the settings menu icon. ROM Patcher is a ROM/binary file patcher that supports many patch formats, as well as decompressing ECM files via unecm. Simply choose a file to patch, the patch itself, and optionally an output file name and tap “Patch”. Apply translations to your own ROMs/ISOs (not native Android games). No ROMs, ISOs or patches are included. Dec 20, 2014 Once you have both the ROM and the patch, open up 'ROM Patcher'. You should see the interface below: Tap 'Choose ROM', go to 'Downloads', and select the ROM you want to patch. Then tap 'Choose patch' and select the IPS/UPS patch file you want to use (You'll have to scroll down to the 'Downloads' folder again).
Delta Patcher is an hybrid front end to the xdelta3 decoder/encoder. It embeds the xdelta.exe executable and extracts it on the fly to apply/create xdelta patches. It supports more options than the most front ends, like compression level, source window size, patch descriptions and checksum verification. It’s written in C++ and all the needed libraries are statically linked to the EXE.

2.0.1:
2.0:
Full and Lite versions: This package comes with two versions of the frontend. The Lite version is simply the patching GUI and it is intended to be included along with your patch. This way, the final user doesn’t need to mess with other options like patch creation (simplicity comes first!). The Full version is mainly for romhackers, and it supports both creation and application of xdelta patches.
The Games
You will need a Super Nintendo emulator and Game Boy Advance emulator to play these games. You can download them from my emulators page. If you need assistance with any of the emulators offered on my site, check out my emulation help subsite: Video Game Emulation for Newbies.
Final Fantasy III
The original Final Fantasy III we all know and love released in North America for the Super Nintendo. The name is misleading because this is actually Final Fantasy VI. The reason for they called it part 3 is explained in About.
Final Fantasy VI (J)
This is the Japanese version of the Super Nintendo release. You'll need this for some of the patches I have below.
Final Fantasy VI Advance
Final Fantasy VI Advance is the re-release for Game Boy Advance. Wifi network hacking tool. There are four new espers, two new dungeons, three new spells, new items, and a bestiary. And devote RPG fans respect this release's English translation as the best thus far.
Rom Hacks
Experience Final Fantasy VI in entirely new ways with these ROM hacks! I'm distributing the hacks here in two ways: “pre-patched” and “patch”. The “pre-patched” download is the hack already applied to the game--just download and play! The “patch” download is just the patch; this is for people who insist on patching the game themselves.
Final Fantasy VI Advance: Restored
This “Restored” hack is a combination of two hacks:
The Color Restoration Hack
As any Game Boy Advance enthusiast knows, most games were altered to have bright colors to accommodate for the system's dark screen. This made Final Fantasy VI Advance look nasty! Fortunately, this awesome patch will totally correct the game's colors and make it look beautiful like the SNES version. See for yourself in the comparison screenshots to the left.
The Sound Restoration Hack
This hack replaces the music with the original music from the SNES version (gone the aggressive fuzzy instruments, rhythm errors and missing flats and sharps). The opera songs are now sung by true opera soloists, and the major part of the opera tunes are played by Tokio’s orchestra.
*The pre-patched download here has both the Sound Restoration hack and the Color Restoration hack applied. This makes the GBA version look & sound like the SNES version! Check out this playthrough on YouTube to get a taste of it.

Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition
This is Final Fantasy VI: Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition! The goal of this project was to make the SNES version uncut and to clean up the script but keep the nuance used in the original script. I think my mac is being hacked. The Woolsey script is used as a base and went line for line looking at the FFVI Advance, RPGOne (right below), and Lina Darkstar scripts to do this. This is the highest quality uncensored re-translation that the fan community offers! Click here for some screenshots. This hack's patch is to be applied to Final Fantasy III (US).
Final Fantasy VI Retranslation
Everyone says the GBA version is the most accurate translation to date for Final Fantasy VI. But do you secretly wish that an accurate translation was available for the SNES version? Then you have this patch! It's a complete fan-based re-translation of the game. Just note that this is a literal translation, so it may not read as smoothly as the official US release. This was made by RPGOne Translations.
Notes about patching: There are two means to patch the Final Fantasy VI ROM with the retranslation: (1) the EXE, and (2) the patches. The EXE makes it very easy; it applies the patches automatically. The EXE should be self-explanatory. And the patches are just patches that need to be applied manually. This translation's patch is to be applied to Final Fantasy VI (J).

Brave New World
Brave New World is the most extensive ROM hack yet devised! It features:
Rom Patcher Ips
Brave New World is not a hard type mod. While it is harder than the original game, the creators wanted to keep it accessible to newcomers while at the same time giving veterans a new experience.
Return of the Dark Sorcerer
Return of the Dark Sorcerer is a Final Fantasy VI mod that's been in development for about six years. This mod promises to showcase some of the more challenging aspects of FFVI modding, as well as plenty of fun and exciting new content--from an all-new cast of playable characters with customized movesets, a radically changed story with many new and customized events, new overworld maps, a new soundtrack, and lots of unique sprites. Click here for some screenshots. To learn more, check out the trailer and the ReadMe in the zip.
Final Fantasy VI: Stand Guard
Final Fantasy VI: Stand Guard contains a rewritten script, some gameplay adjustments in the endgame, uncensored graphics, and a smattering of bugfixes found here and elsewhere. Stand Guard is an attempt at creating the definitive experience for the game. Click here for some screenshots. The patch is to be applied to Final Fantasy III (US).
Final Fantasy VI: Once Again
Final Fantasy VI: Once Again is another patch for those of you who have played Final Fantasy III and you're interested in a whole new experience. This patch increases the game's challenge (similar to what the hard type patches below do), and it also rearranges all items/equipment/magic/skills/espers. In other words, everything pertaining to the battle system got an overhaul. Read the ReadMe for more details. Click here for some screenshots. The patch is to be applied to Final Fantasy III (US).
Final Fantasy VI: Hard Type
Is Final Fantasy VI too easy for you? Do you yearn to play the game over again, but you're so sick of it posing such little challenge for you? Well then worry no more! The Hard Type hack is here to save the day! This hack has increased enemy stats, given the AI new (and smarter moves) while altering equipment and Espers. The equipment has been made more unique to each character, and certain characters have new skillsets. For example, Mog has Jump instead of Attack. Refer to the ReadMe in the download for more info. The patch is to be applied to Final Fantasy III (US).
Final Fantasy VI: Evil Type
Here's another hack that increases the difficulty. This hack is designed to completely rebalance the overall game, in such a way that it is as hard as reasonably possible without making it impossible for a theoretical newcomer to the game to still complete without unbelievable amounts of effort. Refer to the ReadMe in the download for more info. The patch is to be applied to Final Fantasy III (US).
Rom Patcher DownloadFinal Fantasy VI: SpoofRom Hack Patcher For Mac Free
This hack replaces most of the main dialogue with hilarious, dirty jokes. It's very funny! The kind of humor you'd expect on Southpark. Click here for some screenshots. The patch is to be applied to Final Fantasy III (US).
